Pictures of towns and landscapes before the damages brought by the economic exploit. An extensive overview of unpublished photos demonstrating unequivocally that the Trasimeno lake and the surrounding places have been ruined by the private profit, allowed by unfair building plans made by public administrations due to economical interests. These pictures do not need words to talk about how the inadequate culture of public administrators quickly ruined the landscapes, and how long it takes to fix the damages. All this leads us to think about the cultural limits of political administrations when dealing with one of Italy’s most beautiful landscapes, in a historical moment characterized by the opposition between “labor and land”, especially in the postwar years.
